Acetamide is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of methylamine, thioacetamide, and insecticides, and as a plasticizer in leather, cloth and coatings. Acetamide has carcinogenicity. Acetamide derivatives may has antioxidant activity and potential anti-inflammatory activity[1][2][3].
